Martial arts and combat sports training can be dangerous activities. Grapple Labs offers training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) which involves inherent risks, including but not limited to joint locks, chokes, takedowns, strikes, and physical contact with other participants. These activities may result in minor injuries such as bruises, scratches, and general soreness, as well as more serious injuries, including but not limited tosprains, strains, fractured or broken bones, torn ligaments, or, in rare cases, permanent disability or death.

By signing this waiver, you confirm the following:

Assumption of Risk

You understand and voluntarily assume all risks associated with training at Grapple Labs, including injuries resulting from techniques, training equipment, or facilities.

Medical Fitness

You confirm that you are medically and physically fit to participate and have consulted a medical professional if needed.

Release of Liability

You release and hold harmless Grapple Labs, its owners, instructors, staff, affiliates, and other participants from any and all liability, including claims of negligence, for injuries, illnesses, or damages resulting from your participation.

Parental Consent for Minors

If the participant is under 18, a parent or legal guardian must sign this waiver, acknowledging and accepting all risks on behalf of the minor.

Health and Safety

You acknowledge and accept the general health and safety risks associated with physical activities and agree to comply with all safety guidelines.

Photo and Video Consent

You consent to Grapple Labs capturing photos and videos of you (or your child, if applicable) during training, events, or related activities. These images and videos may be used for marketing purposes, including but not limited to social media, website content, and promotional materials. If you wish to opt out, you must notify us in writing.

Jurisdiction and Severability

This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales. If any provision of this waiver is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect. By signing this document, you confirm that you understand and accept the risks associated with martial arts training and release Grapple Labs from any liability. You participate voluntarily and take full responsibility for your safety.

Medical Emergency

In the event of a medical emergency, I authorise Grapple Labs to seek medical assistance on my behalf if I am unable to do so and understand that I am responsible for any medical costs incurred.
